Adam joins HDI with over 24 years of coaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels.
He most recently was an assistant coach at Cal Baptist from 2019-23, where he served as the Lancers’ offensive coordinator. He helped them to a 21 win season in 2019-20, and CBU’s scoring offense was nationally ranked in both 2019-20 (15th) and in 2020-21 (30th). CBU was an HDI client for two of those seasons, allowing Adam to develop a deep familiarity with HDI’s services and philosophy.
Prior to that, he was the Associate Head coach at University of Hawai'i from 2015-19. The Rainbow Warriors won a school record 28 games in 2016, while winning the Big West Regular and Tournament Championships. They advanced to the NCAA tournament and defeated Cal in the first round. That team led the Big West in scoring.
Adam began his career and coached for 14 years at the University of the Pacific, the last 2 seasons as Associate Head Coach. He coached under legendary Head Coach Bob Thomason, the career wins leader in Big West history. During his tenure at Pacific, he helped the Tigers to five Big West championships and four NCAA tournament appearances ('04, '05, '06, '13).
He also was the Head Coach at his alma mater Crescenta Valley HS in 2001-03.
Adam also enjoyed a decorated playing career at Pacific where he graduated in 1997 with a degree in Sport Sciences. He guided the Tigers to two Big West Championships and was later inducted into the Pacific Athletic Hall of Fame. A four time Big West All-Conference selection, he is the career leader at Pacific for three-pointers made and assists. He finished his career with over 1,500 points scored.
Adam and his wife DeAnn have three children - Presley, Ava, and Luke.
