Tyson, who is in his first year at HDI, played three seasons of Division III Basketball at Penn State Altoona University, where he earned a degree in Psychology. After his playing career, he spent two years as a graduate assistant for the Villanova Men’s Basketball team under Hall of Fame Coach Jay Wright, earning a master’s degree in Higher Education. While he was a graduate assistant, Villanova won two Big East Regular Season Titles and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2021. Tyson spent the next two years as a Basketball Operations Analyst at Sports Info Solutions before returning to Villanova in 2023 to serve as the Wildcats’ full-time Video Coordinator for 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.
